This Grant twist pen is also known as a "cigar-style" pen, due to its larger size. The body of this pen is made of Azurite Malachite Tru-stone and is further refined with the black titanium and platinum plated trim. Tru-Stone is a man-made material composed of 85% natural stone ore that has been pulverized to a powder then mixed with pigments and acrylic resin. The result is a substance that looks and feels like natural stone, but can be turned on a lathe. After shaping, the Tru-Stone is polished to a high sheen. The writing tip can be exposed by twisting the upper body of the pen relative to the lower section, in either direction.
This pen uses readily available Parker-style ink refills. The ink cartridge can be accessed by unscrewing the
nib of the pen. Included with the pen is a premium EasyFLOW 9000 ink cartridge, manufactured by the Schmidt company in Germany. I have found this to be the finest Parker-style ink refill available.
